Living with the Lexus RX 350h: Practical Luxury in Daily Life

Hello,

This is a recap of our experience from last March,

when my aunt and uncle switched cars after seven years.

Model Overview

  • Vehicle: 2023 Lexus RX 350h (non-F Sport / basic hybrid model)

  • Usage: City driving, shopping, grocery runs, and general family use

Simple and neat interior

🛋 Interior: Clean & Refined

  • The interior feels impeccably neat—classic Lexus craftsmanship,
with high-quality materials even in unseen places.
  • The wood trim blends seamlessly; Lexus has perfected this balance.

  • Ambient lighting is present but understated—not as flashy as Mercedes.

  • The gear selector is electronic, yet still offers a satisfying, tactile feel.

  • Only downside? The climate controls are touch-sensitive,
which can feel a bit outdated—even though physical buttons might look old-fashioned.

  • Mark Levinson sound system—crisp resolution and clarity,
    though bass isn't particularly deep.

  • The rear seats include
    ventilated seating and power-adjustable reclining

Lexus RX350h wheels and tires
Comfy but narrow tires

🛞 Wheels & Tires

  • Wheel Size: 21 inches

  • Tires: 235/50 R21 Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S

  • These hybrids have surprisingly large wheels,
but the relatively narrow tire width likely helps with fuel efficiency.

  • Road noise is present but not bothersome.

Sharp and smart at night

🚗 Exterior Styling (Front)

  • The new spindle grille and triple-LED headlights
make the RX look sharper than previous models—and almost reminiscent of the LS lineup.

  • The RX's signature C-pillar and roofline flow feels
more harmonious than in older versions.

🚗 Exterior Styling (Rear)

  • The rear turn indicators light up clearly, and while the brake lights are small,
    their brightness is sufficient.

  • The rear wiper is hidden under the roof spoiler.

  • The taillamp design—while subjective—fits well and
doesn't feel disjointed like some others.

✅ Initial Verdict

To summarize:
- The RX 350h blends quiet luxury and practical family usability seamlessly.
We'll dive deeper into a long-term review once we rack up more mileage
and take it on longer trips.
