MOMO design handelbars

πŸ“ First Impressions
I chose the SuperSix EVO because of its high praise for build and performance.
My initial impression? The new frame loses some of the nostalgic charm of earlier models, leaning towards a more conventional design seen in other brands.

🚴 Specifications at a Glance

  • Frame: Hi-Modulus Carbon

  • Handlebar : MOMO design Systembar R-one

  • Groupset: Shimano Ultegra Di2

  • Wheelset: Hollowgram R-SL50(DT240 exp) with Vision decals

  • Weight: Mid‑7 kg (including pedals)

  • Color: Sonic Blue (SNB)

  • Pulleys : Aftermarket custom carbon fiber pulleys

  • Although the stock saddle is the Prologo NDR Ti-Rox,
I’m currently using the Bontrager Aeolus Elite instead.

πŸ” Riding Characteristics

  • Comfort: Compared to Gen‑2, the ride is less playful, but it feels fast and stable at high speeds.

  • Responsiveness: It hits a balance between Gen‑2’s agile feel and Gen‑3’s stiffness — it’s firm, but not too rigid.

  • Cruise Performance: Truly exceptional at maintaining speed on flats.

Delta Steerer tube

πŸ”§ What’s Changed

  • Now uses threaded bottom bracket

  • Supports Shimano cranks without adapters

  • New aero seatpost for improved airflow

  • Eliminated steering limit on 3rd-gen front fork

  • Adopted Delta steerer fork, fully internal cable routing

  • Comes ready for Cannondale SmartSense

  • Removed speed-release axles.

140mm rear rotor

⚠️ Downsides

  • Rear brake rotor is just 140 mm

  • Frame design is less distinctive compare to other competitors

  • Color options are hit-or-miss (subjective tastes vary)

  • Delta steerer setup requires precision — not ideal for quick adjustments

  • The stock aero bottle and cage setup looks sleek, but it’s not the most practical.
It takes some getting used to when trying to reinsert the bottle while riding — it's not easy to do it smoothly at first.

  • The stock 25mm Continental GP5000 clinchers can feel inadequate — a tubeless upgrade(28mm) is highly recommended.

🎯 Recommended For

  • Riders seeking a balanced, fast all-round bike

  • Those who plan to ride long-term without upgrades
(stock R‑SL50 with DT240 EXP hubs are solid)

  • Cyclists prioritizing performance over appearance

  • Fans of older Cannondale models curious about the EVO’s huge evolution

Let me know what you're riding — or if you're also on the EVO!
