The 2025 Tour de France has taken a thrilling turn,
and the name on everyone’s lips is Ben Healy.

The Irish cyclist, riding for EF Education–EasyPost,
stunned fans and rivals alike by claiming the yellow jersey
(Maillot Jaune) in Stage 10 — a feat made even more iconic by the date: Bastille Day, July 14th.

π΄♂️ Stage 10: Healy Rides into Yellow
Stage 10 was expected to be one of the more transitional stages,
but it turned into a battlefield for the General Classification.
Ben Healy launched himself into a powerful breakaway group early in the stage.
His attacking spirit, combined with excellent timing and race IQ,
helped him survive and thrive while other GC contenders hesitated.
Healy crossed the line in third place — but more importantly,
his time gain was enough to push him into first place in the general classification,
giving him the coveted yellow jersey.
“I didn’t wake up thinking I’d be wearing yellow tonight,” Healy said post-stage.
“But once the opportunity presented itself, I went all in.”

π‘ Stage 11: Defending the Jersey in Toulouse
Just two days later, Stage 11 brought a new kind of challenge: defending the jersey.
The stage ran through southern France, ending in Toulouse,
and featured strong crosswinds and technical roads.
Healy’s EF teammates worked tirelessly at the front of the peloton to shelter their leader, fend off attacks, and manage time splits.
Despite a late crash involving some big names like Tadej PogaΔar,
Healy stayed upright, alert, and in control.
At the end of the day, the yellow stayed on his shoulders.

π What's Next? Pyrenees Incoming
While Healy has already impressed the world, the real test begins now.
The upcoming mountain stages in the Pyrenees will push every GC hopeful to the limit.
Healy is not traditionally considered a high-mountain climber,
his strengths lie in punchy, one-day classics and medium climbs.
But with his form, team support, and tactical awareness, nothing is off the table.
If he survives the Pyrenees, we could be looking at a true outsider writing history in Paris.
